John brings home a lot of projects and worksheets. I don't always get to review them on a daily basis. As I cleaned out his book bag today, I found the picture to the left of George Washington. I asked John if he knew who he was. John replied, "George Washington." I asked him if he knew why George Washington was so famous. He said, "because he is on a coin." Yes, John he is on a coin, but that's not what makes him so special. He gave me a blank stare. I said, well I know why he is so special. He said, "mommy, tell me." I said, George Washington was the first president of the United States. John quickly replied "yeah, I know that!"
