New shoes

John is really rough on sneakers and Daddy noticed this weekend that one of the straps on John's sneakers were broken. We were planning on getting him new sneaker for school, so we decided to get them sooner rather than later. We got him some new Nikes. Since John got new sneakers, Gillian had to get a new pair. Today was their first day wearing their new kicks to school. When we arrive at school, John jumped out of the car. I said "Let me see how fast those shoes are." He ran to the path, turned around and said "It's not the shoes. It's my legs that are fast!" 

Before bed, I asked the kids if everyone loved their new shoes. Gillian said "No! Everyone hated them!" John said "No Gill. Everyone loved my shoes. Miss Denise noticed right away that I had new shoes!" Love that he was so excited about his new sneakers.
